DATE-TIME
YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS Given in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), which is equivalent to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Chart to convert to Canadian time zones.
LAT and LONG
Geographic latitude and longitude of the epicentre in decimal degrees.
DEPTH
Depth of the focus (hypocentre) given in kilometers below sea level. A focal depth assigned by a geophysicist is marked with (g). Depth of either 0 or 1 km is usually assigned to mining-related activity. Freely determined depths are marked with (*)
MAG
Earthquake Magnitude Type: ML (local, roughly equivalent to the original Richter magnitude used in California), MN (Nuttli, a type of body wave magnitude), Mw (Moment magnitude). Please note that very small earthquakes can have a negative magnitude.
